Breathtaking quality of material, insignia, and tailoring, makes this a must-have for your Connoisseur Collection

Heer General Der Infanterie rank tunic for sale tailored by Christian Eisele of Mannheim. The four-pocket,  tailored tunic, in a particularly fine field grey wool gabardine material and complete with dark green collar. The tunic with matching full General rank epaulettes with two silvered pips on gold & silver entwined braid and red-coloured underlays. Fine duo-tone golden bullion & golden cello collar patches on red wool base, and a golden wire breast eagle & swastika. The tunic with golden pebble-finished buttons throughout.

The tunic with award-loops for the German Cross, a group of multi-loops for a long ribbon bar, plus loops to accommodate various other awards. The tunic is lined with field-grey silk to the main body, and 'tailor-stripes' to the sleeves. Typically an adjustable spring clip has been tailored in place, allowing a dagger or sword to be carried. A full silk tailor label is present for the firm of Christian Eisele, Mannheim. There are also metal poppers along the dark green collar, to allow the fixing of a detachable white inner collar.

Condition report: The Heer General tunic is for sale in excellent overall condition, with originally- attached insignia (collar patches machine sewn into place, eagle & swastika hand sewn). The insignia clean and fresh. The tunic free from moth or other damage.

Notes: The tunic does not have a name-label. It may be possible to research - and attribute a name to the tunic based on the award loops, and the fact the owner was probably from Mannheim.

Provenance: From the Axel Jacobs Collection, Germany. One European collection before being consigned to ULRIC of NGLAND.
